Rootstock x Changelly: Guide to Getting RBTC

Published on: 24 September, 2024

This article is part of Rootstock’s series “Building DeFi on Bitcoin” exploring different solutions and integrations on the Rootstock blockchain that enable scaling Bitcoin, bringing DeFi capabilities to the world’s first blockchain.

Changelly, the global crypto exchange platform, has recently integrated into Rootstock. This integration is bringing Rootstockers a new DEX to seamlessly get RBTC, the native token of the Rootstock ecosystem.

In this article, we explore a step-by-step approach to get RBTC via Changelly dApp.

Steps to get RBTC via Changelly

Step 1: Sign up on Changelly (changelly.com) via your Google account or email. The set-up will take approximately 2 minutes.

Step 2: Choose a cryptocurrency you want to exchange and one you wish to receive. In this case, this will be RBTC. Click the “Exchange now” button to proceed.

Step 3: Examine all the transaction details, including service and network fees, the exchange rate, etc.

Step 4: Enter your RBTC wallet address. Please double-check your wallet address to ensure your funds will be transferred to the right place.

Step 5: Send the funds to the onscreen address. Please note that you can only send funds to the provided address once.

Step 6: Once ready, you can view all the progress in your Changelly account. It might take some time to get blockchain confirmation.

Congrats! Your RBTC is now stored safely in your wallet.
